Hello! My name is Gee Brar, and I’m an experienced and passionate Social Studies educator with over a decade of teaching in diverse settings — from international schools in Belgium and South Korea to public and IB World Schools in Chicago and Honolulu. I specialize in Civics, U.S. History, and Social Studies, and I love helping students make meaningful connections between history and the world they live in today.

I hold a Master’s in Secondary Education and multiple state teaching certifications in Social Studies and ESL. Throughout my career, I’ve been dedicated to fostering inquiry-based, culturally responsive classrooms where students feel empowered to ask questions, think critically, and engage with real-world issues.

I’m also highly tech-savvy and love incorporating digital tools like Pear Deck, Canva, Nearpod, and Google Suite to create interactive, engaging, and accessible learning experiences for all students. Whether teaching in-person or online, I’m passionate about using technology to bring lessons to life and keep students actively involved in their learning.

Outside of teaching, I’m an avid traveler, history enthusiast, and proud dog owner. I believe learning should be fun, meaningful, and empowering — and I look forward to supporting students on their educational journey!
