Hello! My name is Ms. Li. I have a Bachelors degree in Mathematics from UMass Amherst and a Masters degree in Secondary Math Education from Columbia University’s Teachers College. I also am a licensed math teacher for grades 7-12. I have been a high school math teacher and tutor since 2009. I have worked with students in Geometry, Algebra 1 and 2, Precalculus, AP Calculus AB, AP Statistics, and SAT/ACT Math.

I am a huge proponent of students discovering how to solve problems on their own through investigation and problem solving skills. I will facilitate this as much as possible in the classroom environment and encourage them to make mistakes and learn from them. This is the core foundation of how we can improve ourselves for the future and become better thinkers and problem solvers. I hope to show students how amazing mathematics is and how they can use their critical thinking skills in other areas of their lives.

When I am not teaching, I love to learn about finance, practice piano, and watch musicals!
