A Calculus specialist at Arizona State University, I began my career as a Civil / Structural Engineer but then pursued Mathematics at the University of Kansas. After obtaining a Master's and secondary math teaching certificate, I came to Arizona where I've been a Teaching Professor at ASU for 25 years. I have experience in Algebra through Differential Equations with a special interest in Calculus III. I believe meaningful learning comes when students are active in developing their own understanding through deep thinking and engaging dialogue with others. When I’m not math-ing, I enjoy running and rock climbing and spending time with my wife Karen and kids Emma and Samuel.
