Michael J. Greces is a bilingual ESL professor and education consultant based in San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico. With over 23 years of experience in higher education and online teaching, he specializes in digital learning, communication, and intercultural exchange.

Throughout his career, Michael has taught more than 10,000 students and trained hundreds of teachers and teacher trainees across Mexico and abroad. He created the first native language English teaching program in Chiapas for the U.S. Department of State and developed a service-learning ESL model that has inspired educators internationally.

Deeply connected to Mexico and Latin America, Michael enjoys applied alternative technologies, homesteading, fishing, hiking, and kayaking. A passionate chef, he practices garden-to-table and Mexican market seasonal cooking, bringing the same creativity and care from his kitchen to his classroom.
