As a native of the Hudson Valley, I’ve proudly served this area as an educator and test prep instructor for over 15 years.  I currently support students in the Beacon City High School as a tutor and virtual instructor, where I’ve worked with many students in grades 9-12, on all subjects. I also offer private tutoring sessions for students in math, ranging in difficulty from arithmetic to college-level calculus.

After over a decade of working for various tutoring companies, I began to realize a very disturbing pattern: 90% or more of all the money students and their families paid these companies was NOT being paid to teachers and tutors.  It was being KEPT by the company and just 10% or less was actually being paid to the teachers and tutors who actually provided the service people were paying for.  For example, a large SAT Prep company that took in $20,000 for a SINGLE course, paid the teacher of that course UNDER $2,000, pocketing $18,000!

Ever since then, my goal has been to completely reverse this model.  I used my math background to create a business model whereby TEACHERS would get 90% of revenue that THEIR courses generated the company would take the 10%.  It turns out that when you do this, you can drastically LOWER prices for students AND increase pay for teachers.

Since no company, whether it be a local mom-and-pop tutoring center or a massive tutoring corporation, is going to voluntarily give up that much profit, I decided to start my own company.  That’s how learnallot.com to be.
