Unlocking Math Mysteries Functions: Students learn to identify, analyze, and graph various types of functions, including their domain, range, and transformations. Equations and Inequalities: The course covers solving linear, quadratic, polynomial, and rational equations and inequalities, often using a variety of methods like factoring, completing the square, and the quadratic formula. Systems of Equations: Students learn to solve systems of linear and non-linear equations using graphical, algebraic, and substitution methods. Polynomials and Rational Expressions: Topics include factoring polynomials, simplifying rational expressions, and performing operations with them. Exponential and Logarithmic Functions: Students explore the properties and graphs of exponential and logarithmic functions and their applications in real-world scenarios. Sequences and Series: The course may also include a brief introduction to arithmetic and geometric sequences and series. Graphing and Technology: Students learn to use graphing tools, including calculators and software, to visualize and analyze functions and their relationships. Problem-Solving and Modeling: The course emphasizes applying mathematical concepts to solve real-world problems and creating mathematical models.
