Turea Kenski
English & Social Studies
Turea Kenski is a passionate and experienced educational leader with over 20 years of service in K–12 education. She has taught and coached across multiple disciplines, including literacy, social studies, bilingual education, and Spanish, always with a commitment to creating inclusive, student-centered learning environments. Her journey began with a love for language and culture, which deepened during a college study abroad experience in Spain, where she lived with a host family in Madrid and traveled the country to explore its rich heritage, art, and cuisine.
Turea holds a B.A. in Spanish Language & Literature from Northern Illinois University, an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction with an ESL/Bilingual Education emphasis from National Louis University and is currently pursuing her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership. She has also completed extensive coursework in instructional and learning experience design to deepen her impact as a curriculum developer and facilitator. A proud lifelong learner, one of her personal milestones has been continuously growing in her leadership capacity to better support both students and adults.
Known for her ability to build strong relationships, Turea has led high-quality professional development, coached educators, and tutored students with a focus on equity, rigor, and real-world readiness. She’s especially passionate about preparing multilingual learners and supporting educators in designing instruction that engages all students.
Outside of her professional work, Turea enjoys sketching, painting, biking, swimming, and reading psychological thrillers. Her creative spirit and curiosity fuel her teaching and leadership, always seeking new ways to connect, inspire, and empower learners.
